Ernest Miller Hemingway

    Ernest Hemingway was born in July 21st, 1899 in America.

    When he was 18, he went to work for The Kansas City Star as a reporter. Although he stayed there for only six months, he was influenced by the Star's style. His writing style was known for concise.
"Use short sentences. Use short first paragraphs. Use vigorous English. Be positive, not negative."

    In World War I, Hemingway worked at the Red Cross hospital in Milan. There he fell in love with a nurse, Agnes von Kurowsky. They had decided to marry in America, but later Agnes got married with other people.
    This was Hemingway’s first love, so he had a deep impression on this matter. This also became the inspiration when he wrote "A Farewell to Arms."

    In a hunting, he suffered two plane crash. After a Month, he was seriously injured in a forest fire accidents.
    Pain made Hemingway had tried to commit suicide in 1961 spring, but he didn't success.
    July 2, 1961, he committed suicide with a shotgun in the basement. At that time, his face was completely destroyed.
